About the concert
A graduate in lute with highest honors from the Verona Conservatory, Francesca Torelli went on to specialize at the Guildhall School in London with Nigel North. She studied Renaissance and Baroque singing with Auriol Kimber.
Her artistic activity is directed toward performance with the ancient European instruments of the lute family (Renaissance lute, theorbo, archlute, Baroque lute, Baroque guitar), repertoire for lute and voice, which she sings accompanying herself, and conducting Baroque ensembles.
